Describe your label in 3 words.
Quality, craft, function.
What can we expect from Kate Sheridan this season?
Wintery textures, cord and cosy shearling, classic Autumn colours in drill workwear and tumbled leathers. Oh and classic Blackwatch tartan waxed cottons.
What are the biggest influencers in your life and work?
My amazing daughters Eve and Dora. I'm so proud of these independent, confident young humans my husband and I somehow managed to create.
What would be the soundtrack of your life?
Grace Jones - Love is the Drug.
What do you love most and love least about your work?
Most - Creative freedom and seeing customers wearing my designs. Least - excel spreadsheets!
If you didn't do this, what would you do?
Food travel writer.
What's the oldest and newest piece of clothing you own?
The newest piece is our own Strike Dress from the AW18' collection and the oldest is probably a tennis dress from the 1920's. (but I do have a fair amount of old workwear.)
What book is on the bedside at the moment?
Rebecca by Daphne de Maurier.
What are you most excited about this season?
Our billboard campaign shot by the very talented Simon Wisbey.
What are your favourite 3 local haunts?
Hai cafe has just recently opened a few doors down from our store on Lower Clapton Road - absolutely delicious!
Victoria Park for family hangs and the Hemmingway for Cocktails.
What would be your advice to your younger self?
Travel more and don't be afraid to take risks.
