A team of volunteers have recently been working on a project called LOOK UP - a pop-up record and bookshop curated by the legend that is Gilles Peterson.
It launches on Monday September 24th for one week only, in Edwards Lane Gallery, Stoke Newington.
The shop aims to raise a significant amount of money and awareness for Stoke Newington School's, SAFAPLACE - a mental health charity which aims to encourage and support positive mental health and well being.
'What we're trying to do with Look Up is explore the positive relationship between mental health and the arts, hoping to play a part in reminding young people of the positive options available to them through interviews and performances with musicians, artists, DJs and authors.' (Claire Henshaw - LOOK UP organiser)
LOOK UP is also hosting gigs at The Old Church in Stokie. You can see Yazmin Lacey, Jordan Rakei and Sir Was amongst others...
